Grading

Eight Point Scale : The various grades on the eight point scale roughly represent the following achievement levels in numerical terms:

A1 91 to 100% A2 81 to 90%
B1 71 to 80% B2 61 to 70%
C1 51 to 60% C2 41 to 50%
D 33 to 40% E 0 to 32%
Pre Primary Classes (Nursery- KG II)

Pre Primary classes are the most important foundation for our students. We pledge to make this phase of child's learning, the most enriching one by making all efforts to make learning enjoyable. Our curriculum is centered around enhancing the Social. Emotional and cognitive development of children through a blend of Montessori, Kindergarten, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia approaches. Assessment in these classes is completely stress-free and comprehensive. There shall be no formal test for these classes. During the academic session, pupils will be awarded grades on various dimensions in different subjects. No numeric scores will be awarded for their academic achievements. The grades will be awarded each month. The later months' grade will include the previous month's achievement. Thus the latest grade will indicate the final grade of achievement at a point of time in the form of cumulative record.

Primary Classes (I-V)

There will be 2 Periodic tests of 25 marks each (25% of course of each term) -conducted as Pre-Mid term and Post-Mid term with weightage of 10% added for final result. One Mid Term examination and One Term End examination will be conducted and a weightage of 40% each, will be added for final result. Assignments and Projects given time to time will be assessed and given marks to be added for 5% weightage each in Mid Term and Term End examinations.

Middle Classes (VI-VIII)

Remodeled Evaluation Structure of CBSE will be followed for these classes. There will be 2 Periodic tests of 25 marks each (25% of course of each term) -conducted as Pre-Mid term and Post-Mid term with weightage of 10% added for final result. One Mid Term examination and One Term End examination will be conducted and a weightage of 40 % each, will be added for final result. In Term End Examination some syllabus portion covered in Mid Term examination will also be included, as per the CBSE guidelines. Assignments and Projects given time to time will be assessed and given marks to be added for 5% weightage each in Mid Term and Term End examinations.

Secondary Classes (IX-X)

Remodeled Evaluation Structure of CBSE will be followed for these classes. There will be 3 Periodic tests : PT lof 40 marks, PT II. If of 60 Marks and PT III (Class IX) of 80 Marks / Pre Board (Class X) of 80 Marks with weightage of 10% total of best 2 added for Final Result (class IX) Internal Evaluation (Class X). Assignments and Projects given time to time will be assessed and given marks to be added for 10% weightage in Final Result (class IX) Internal Evaluation (Class X) 33% marks in each subject and aggregate is the passing criteria. Students will be given Re-exam chance as per CBSE guidelines.

Senior Secondary Classes (XI- XII)

For class XI the structure of Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Examination will be followed and marks obtained in each examination will be considered for promotion, with the following weightage : Quarterly Examination - 20%, Half Yearly Examination- 20%, Annual Examination- 60% The passing criteria is 33% marks in each subject -separate in Theory and Practical. For Class XIl, there will be One Quarterly Examination conducted and Two Pre Boards with one pre Board including Practical Examination. Students passing in all these examinations and qualifying the attendance criteria of 75% will be issued the Admit Cards for Board Examination.


Note: The Progress report is to be properly and neatly maintained. In case of loss or mutilation a fee of Rs. 50/- will be charged for issue of a duplicate card.

If a pupil is absent from a test or an examination, no retest will be conducted. In genuine approved cases, aggregate grades will be allotted from throughout the year assessments/evaluations.

A pupil is promoted to higher class based on performance throughout the session.

The names of those students, who do not show any improvement for two consecutive years in a class, will be struck off the school rolls.
